🕶️Stop complaining about a bad environment. Create a healthy one instead❤️🩹
Aug 29, 2023In the workplace, the environment does not always appear to be an ideal place. Especially when entering a new place, you need to adapt and accept what it is. Entering a new workplace can be challenging, and it can be taken as an opportunity to create a healthy working environment or turn the bad one into a healthy one. Everything starts with ourselves, whether as a leader in our corporate job or our own business environment. It is what I believe is the key to creating a healthy environment.
Here are 5 strategies to keep being productive and shining in a bad environment:
- Stop complaining! Complaining will not help us to get rid of the situation. It may even make it worse. Instead of complaining, try to understand the conditions and people in it.
- When you have understood the situation, make a plan. This plan should manage the problems and issues in your environment. Be the agent of change and recruit people who share the same values as you.
- You can be against a stream alone and have to share your values with others and inspire people around you. Most importantly, show that you are open to communication and promoting growth in your leadership.
- Lead by example. The only way to build trust and respect is to lead by example. You can not expect people to believe you if they don’t see you doing what you say.
- Promote well-being and work-life balance. Work is essential, but we live not just for working. A bad environment is usually filled with people not caring about their workplace and the mental health of their people.
